I was very taken with this product and was about to order samples BUT then I read that stains (fresh or old), cannot be removed by a cloth and washing up liquid nor a standard stain remover product.
You have to track down a supplier and buy a specialist product from them, Or find a nominated firm to come and clean your stained Ca-rPet
This instantly put me off buying this particular carpeting.
Oh interesting. I mean sisal isn't great with stains anyway. We have it in the bedroom where it's fine but i'm not sure I'd have it downstairs. I will investigate further - this is what I mean about first impressions and then digesting information for later...
And I just had this from Alternative Flooring themselves: “The Anywhere Ca-rPET can be cleaned with normal carpet cleaning products - it doesn’t require any special treatment. Generally anything WoolSafe or CleanSeal approved is good.
“However the natural sisal carpet is a little more specialist and we would always recommend dry cleaning methods. We do sell care kits on our website specifically for plant fibre floor coverings like sisal and also have lots of cleaning and care advice in the ‘Help & Advice’ section.”
This was fun! A chance to see a bit of a place I would never otherwise find myself. My mom used to take me to Gift Shows in San Francisco when I was a kid: I loved the whole experience. This is the next best thing! Can’t wait to hear more…
