Wow, indeed. That study…

I’m so intrigued by all the rooms (UID one left me cold. There was something of the Sixth-Form Common Room about it.), but I would never have been able to deconstruct it to see what is transferable, so thanks for that as always, Kate.

And that study. Gulp. I want it. ALL of it, especially the…everything!

Loving the whole vibe of colour and luxury and the emergence of a few colours we’ve not seen for a while - pinks, chocolate and yellow but I love it.

I’ve just done one bedroom in pink and my bathroom is brass, chocolate and sage so I’m happy to see I’m accidentally right in the mix!

Our home has a few rooms with upholstered (padded) walls, courtesy of the prior owner, a professional. The effect is beautiful, but I fear my pocketbook on the day when the bell tools for the fabric, which I like but don’t entirely love. The vast meters of fabric… the sewing, finish work, installation…. Yikes.

One of the upholstered rooms is the downstairs powder room, hard off the kitchen, which is a bit impractical. My husband directs guests further afield when we have parties due to the proximity of the fabric to the toilet, lol. The things you don’t see discussed at the WowHouse or glossy AD spreads…. Which is why I appreciate the info and ideas you share.

Lots of gorgeous inspiration here! Love the green study with silk (?) wallpaper and lots of other details.

I second the Wow, indeed! There is a lot to absorb, analyse and deconstruct. That rattan sideboard is a standout piece, but in line with stuff done by Atelier Vime. Which seems to show that rattan and a natural look will still be going strong in our mainstream homes.

I have mixed feelings about the Veere Grenne room... it seems a bit cold to me, albeit undeniably elegant.

What really strikes me is the attention given to walls and ceilings. I, for one, am glad minimalism is nowhere in sight, although given the wow brief it would probably be absent anyway?

Favourite rooms: the yellow Virginia Woolf study and the swan lake inspired library. The ceiling on the latter one is fantastic. Both deceptively understated.

Right! I'll definitely need to come back to this post! Thanks Kate, as always : )
